Expertise in handling delivery of Frozen and Chilled products

All fresh or frozen meats, fish, fruits and vegetables are carefully packaged with the necessary materials to ensure the high standard of quality we receive them in - from bubble wrap to ice packs, we have a whole host of techniques with which to ensure your food arrives with you fresh, undamaged and delicious. Please note that if you have selected one of our DHL courier services someone will need to be in to sign for the delivery. If this is not possible then please leave a note on your door that is clearly signed and dated with instructions of where to leave the parcel (e.g. ‘Leave with neighbour at No.12’ or ‘Leave in garden shed’). Once your items have left our premises, it is your responsibility to make the appropriate arrangements to receive your delivery. This does not apply to Standard 1st Class and 2nd Class Post or Signed for Saturday Deliveries, which will arrive with Royal Mail.

Straightforward Hassle Free Returns

If your order is delayed for a reason that is not fault of your own then under our ‘Delivery Day Guarantee’ we promise to refund the full cost of your delivery.

Occasionally, despite our utmost efforts, your order may be damaged in transit. If you contact us and send us a photograph of your damaged order, we will be happy to offer you a replacement or a full refund. Alternatively, you may decide after receiving a product that you no longer want it. Although this is unusual, if you return the product to us unopened and in it’s original condition we will be happy to offer you a refund. Please note we are not able to refund any delivery or postage costs in this instance and we cannot accept returns of any fresh or frozen products. All returns should be sent to:

The boxes in which we pack our products are full of protective materials to stop your order being damaged, and as such will NOT fit through your letterbox. If you order fresh produce and are not in to collect it at the time of arrival, it may go back to the depot to await your collection – in which time it will most likely degrade in quality. Unfortunately, Fine Food Specialist cannot accept responsibility for orders where delivery was attempted and the receiver does not subsequently collect the parcel. Royal Mail will often attempt to deliver the parcel to a neighbour but the Express Courier drivers require a note with specific instructions (i.e. 'Leave by patio door' or 'Leave with Number 42'), this note MUST be left in the 'Customer Comments' section at the One Step Checkout. Fine Food Specialist are unable to contact your local delivery driver.

Of course! To specify a delivery day select one of the 'Express Next or name Day delivery options' or ‘Weekend Shipping’. A calendar will appear and you can simply select what day you would like your order to arrive. Some days will be blocked and you will not be able to select them. We deliver Tuesday-Friday. We do not operate on Saturday or Sunday so we cannot offer delivery on Sundays or Mondays.*Please take into consideration any lead times on products you order when selecting your delivery day, the calendar will factor this in for your ease but it's always good to keep an eye out for lead times. Due to the fact that many of the products we offer are imported, hard to find, artisanal or handmade it can sometimes take our team a little extra time to procure items on your order.

A product with a lead time will be clearly marked in red writing with the length of time that will be added to your delivery date on your order.

This means that your order is not eligible for same day delivery and will be due for dispatch on the Wednesday due to the 24 hour lead time on the product you have selected. If you have selected a next day delivery service your whole order will be delivered on the Thursday.

Sometimes! We are always striving to offer our customers the best possible service and upon request we will do our utmost to procure the items on your order at a quicker rate, when this is possible. However, you will need to speak to a member of customer service as soon as possible (please note our operating times on the contact us page). Unless you have direct confirmation from a member of our team then we cannot guarantee to beat the lead times for you.
