These impressive tarts couldn’t be easier to make. Banana is topped with dulce de leche, a luxurious South American caramel made with sweetened milk. Some softly whipped cream and grated chocolate are all that’s needed to finish these tarts, although you could also top them with Italian meringue, or some chopped nuts.
Makes 12 tarts.
Ingredients
- 12 sweet tart shells
- 1-2 bananas, peeled and thinly sliced
- 12 heaped tablespoons dulce de leche
- 150ml whipping cream
- A few pieces good quality dark chocolate, for grating
Method
- Arrange a layer of banana slices in the bottom of each tart case.
- Top each with a heaped tablespoon of dulce de leche, and gently spread it out evenly.
