Recipe Note
How do you make baked Camembert with black truffle?
To make baked Camembert with black truffle, simply score the top of the cheese, add slices of black truffle and garlic, then bake until soft and molten. Serve immediately with bread, potatoes or crudités for dipping.
Can I use truffle oil instead of fresh black truffle?
Yes, if fresh truffles are unavailable, a small drizzle of truffle oil can add flavour to a truffle baked Camembert. However, fresh black truffle will provide a more complex and authentic taste.

Baked Camembert pairs beautifully with crusty bread, roasted potatoes, crackers, crudités and pickles. The acidity of pickles helps balance the richness of the melted cheese.
What is the best truffle to use with Camembert?
Summer truffles, Autumn truffles and Périgord winter truffles all work well in a Camembert truffle recipe. The best choice depends on the season and how intense you would like the truffle flavour to be.
Can I prepare baked Camembert with black truffle in advance?
Yes, you can assemble the baked Camembert with black truffle a few hours ahead of time and keep it refrigerated. Bake just before serving to ensure the cheese is perfectly melted and creamy.
What wine pairs well with baked Camembert with black truffle?
A rich, creamy baked Camembert with black truffle pairs beautifully with a crisp Chardonnay, a dry sparkling wine or a light Pinot Noir. These wines complement the earthy flavours of the Camembert truffle while balancing the richness of the melted cheese and black truffle.
