Make your next event pop with these delicious mini morel cones. Ideal for winter celebrations, these mini cones are made using fresh or dried morels, but we particularly like the dried ones so we can use some of the soaking water to add some texture and taste to the mousse!
Our charcoal mini cones are one of our customers' favourites as they effortlessly give a fancy look to any canape buffet.
Ingredients
Mini Morel Mousse Cones

20 savoury mini charcoal cones

50g dried morels
- 75g cream cheese
- 1/2 onion roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil

2 garlic cloves roughly chopped

A handful of micro rocket
Directions
Method
- Step 1, Soak the dried morels in hot water for 15 minutes.
- Step 2, While draining the morels, keep a glass of the water they soaked in.
- Step 3, Chop the morels roughly.
- Step 4, Sauté the onion in olive oil for three minutes, then add the garlic and morels, and cook for another four minutes.
- Step 5, Add the morel mixture, cream cheese, and a spoonful of the morels' water to a food processor. If needed, add more water to achieve the desired texture.
- Step 6, Using a piping bag, fill the mini cones with the morel mousse, top with some micro rocket and serve.
