Cantal cheese is named after the Cantal mountains, in the Auvergne region of central France. Aged for several months, the flavour is strong, tangy and slightly sweet, similar to cheddar. Depending on how long the cheese is matured for will vary the sweet and tangy flavours of the cheese. The texture is semi-hard with a soft interior. An extremely delicious French cheese to have on your cheese-board!
