Handpicked from estuarine mudflats on the Norfolk coast, samphire is a succulent plant of the salicornia species. It has a satisfying crunch and a subtle, salty tang from the sea where it grows.
Try gently blanching, tossing in butter and serving with fresh mussels, crevette grises or as a garnish for halibut.
500g of fresh samphire. 1kg available for an additional £15.50 (see drop down menu).
