Introducing Our Sashimi Box Serving 6 People!

Sashimi is the grade given to the freshest possible catch and is generally served raw. Our sashimi box includes three of our favourite fresh fish cuts, perfect for serving at a sushi dinner. The box serves 6 people as a starter portion and includes:

Hiramasa Toro

Hiramasa, also known as kingfish, is a high-quality sashimi grade Yellowtail Kingfish which is farmed under strict, high standards. As a result, this is some of the finest sashimi grade fish on the market. The fish is firm with large flakes, is pale pink in colour and offers a rich and subtly sweet flavour. In Japan, the fisherman goes to great lengths and handpicks the fish to ensure that the delicate flesh doesn’t bruise. The high-fat content in the loin of the Hiramasa fish is what gives it its buttery, rich texture.

Please note that Hiramasa is sourced from Australia, so it has been frozen. This particular fish will arrive fresh from frozen so can't be refrozen.

Salmon Sashimi

Beautiful, delicate salmon in its freshest state, perfect for serving as sashimi or sushi. If you are looking to prepare a fresh, aromatic tartare, don't feel you need to add too many extra flavours. This salmon is subtle and delicate in flavour and needs little else to be enjoyed.

Wild Yellowfin Tuna

From each batch of tuna that is caught, a sample is taken for inspection. The colour determines whether they can be sold as sashimi or not, ensuring that you are getting the best quality in this top classification.

Wasabi, Seaweed Salad, Ginger & Soy Sauce

To go with the sashimi, we have also included a tube of wasabi paste, Hiyashi Wakame Seaweed salad, pickled sushi ginger and 2-year-old soy sauce, all the essential components of a proper sashimi platter!
