Fiddleheads are the coiled fronds of young, tender fern shoots. The flavour of them has been described as a mix between asparagus aand broccoli, with vibrant green colour and a juicy inside.

Fiddleheads have a short season so make sure to grab them whilst they're around!

Fiddleheads must be cleaned and thoroughly - they aren't to be eaten raw! To serve, boil them for 10-15 minutes, before sautíing them in butter, garlic and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
