Yellow Beans, 500g

Yellow beans make a delicious alternative to their ubiquitous cousin, the green bean. With a slightly more mellow and delicate texture, they are at their prime when young and tender. Sweet and nutty in flavour, the yellow bean is crisp yet creamy and makes the perfect base to summer salads when simply blanched and tossed in a little butter or vinaigrette. Excellent pepped up with herbs, they also pair really well with fishor complement the richness of pork belly.

Also known as wax beans, this yellow variety are a member of the Fabaceae family and are native to Central and South America. With a peak season from late July to the end of September, yellow beans are a perfect summer staple for light, healthy meals.
