Lyme Bay in Lyme Regis, Dorset, is renowned for its fantastic quality fish and seafood caught in the bay on a daily basis. Mackerel, one of the most popular catches from Lyme Bay, has long been a favourite amongst locals and seafood lovers further afield. Boasting an intense, rich flavour, mackerel is high in omega-3 fatty acids and contains various health benefits.  

This mackerel has a firm and oil rich flesh and can be served with Japanese side dishes to compliment it's delicious flavour: serve with spiralised cucumber, grated wasabi, pickled ginger and some ponzu soy sauce. 

Alternatively, this mackerel is delicious when pan-fried, smoked, or grilled on the barbecue.
