Summer Truffles, Fresh
Black summer truffles are the most common of the black truffle because they have such a long season. They are available from May to September, and they are excellent value for money. They have a delicately mild nose and flavour so we highly recommend using truffle oil or truffle butter to bring out that wonderful restaurant-quality flavour. Shave generously over pasta to garnish then add a drizzle of truffle oil and enjoy.

How to clean and keep fresh truffles
The truffles we deliver are so fresh, they may still have a fine covering of soil or sand from when they were first unearthed. We advise to consume our fresh truffles within 3 days of receiving.
Once they have been gently cleaned, wrap each truffle individually in a fresh sheet of kitchen paper towel. Place the wrapped truffles in a clean, airtight plastic or glass container, such as a flip-top jar with a tight seal.
Change the paper towel every morning and re-wrap the truffles. Put them back in their container and refrigerate, repeating the process until you are ready to use them.
