An update about Christmas 2020
To our valued customers,
Christmas may be a little different this year, however we will endeavour, as always, to guarantee that you receive the finest ingredients and fresh produce. I want to be transparent as we try to make the best of these strange times and have as normal a festive period as can be possible!
We are already extremely busy, and delivery dates are filling up quickly. Our supply lines are good at the moment but with the huge increase in orders, they are likely to deplete. Many of the products on the website will have an expiry date well after Christmas - so please order today to avoid any disappointment.
We have had to plan for several scenarios, and if volumes are extreme, we may have to undertake drastic measures to control fulfilment by disabling some products on the website. What that means is that we’d rather know that we can fulfil your orders than let you down by overpromising on more, but hopefully it won’t come to that.
As a niche food business, we are used to a certain degree of uncertainty due to the nature of the products we sell and while we have managed to stay on top of it, this year has certainly tested our mettle!
Thank you for remaining loyal customers throughout all of this, and we wish you all the best.

- Christmas 2020 FAQ -
To help you navigate your preparations this year, we’ve put together some of our frequently asked questions about ordering.
Can I place my order for Christmas now?
Yes, you can place your Christmas orders now! We highly recommend booking your delivery slots soon to avoid the stress of last-minute ordering and get your preferred dates and times.
What can I order in advance?
All of our products are available to order ahead of time. You can order your food early and store them or you can book a delivery slot closer to when you will need them. Delivery slots are filling up very quickly so we would recommend buying ahead of time. Most of our products will last well beyond Christmas. Fresh products such as our birds and wagyu beef can be frozen and kept until you need them, plus we sell many frozen products to make it easier for you. Items such as cheeses, preserves, and Christmas products like panettone will be fine as long as they are stored properly. Read our guides to caviar and truffles for information on storing. Don't forget we also have some cool stocking fillers, hampers, and kitchen accessories for you to peruse!
When is the last date for ordering?
Our cut-off date for Christmas delivery with DPD is the 22nd December and 13th December for Royal Mail, however we do expect orders to fill up way before this. To ensure you receive your food for Christmas and to avoid the last-minute rush, do place your orders well before to avoid disappointment.
Will delivery be affected by COVID?
Your products should arrive on time and our courier services will operate as normal, however please be aware that DPD are no longer offering pre-10 and pre-12 during November and December. Our supply lines are good, however due to the uncertainty of this time some products may not be available. If this happens we can substitute for similar items and we will contact you.
Are you taking any extra precautions?
Yes, we are following the UK Government guidelines and have already taken steps to minimise risk in addition to our rigorous food safety procedures. The safety of our customers and staff is paramount. You can read our coronavirus statement here.
If you have any other questions, please do get in touch and we will help resolve your query.
