Boiron Fruit Puree

Boiron Fruit Puree

Boiron's frozen fruit purees are the ideal fruit solution for everything from cocktails to desserts. The versatility of the range has been creatively embraced by many successful chefs, who keep coming back to it to create exciting new dishes, desserts and cocktails.

Les Vergers Boiron is a specialist in frozen fruit purees for professional kitchens and bars. They are based in Valence, in the South-East of France and have been experts for more than 75 years in the processing of the best fruits available in the world.

They have a strong reputation for quality not only in the kitchen but also in the bar.

Using high-quality fruits, harvested at maturity and processed using methods inspired by champagne-making in order to guarantee the consistency and the natural taste of the products all year long.

Why use frozen fruit purees?

Frozen fruit purees, which can be used in baking or cocktail-making, are a time-saving alternative to fresh fruits. There is no peeling, no removing of seeds, and no core removal required, making them ideal for last-minute recipes or large gatherings.

Additionally, it reduces waste. Rather than buying two pounds of peaches only to find out that only two-thirds of them can be eaten, they provide you with fruit that has been picked and frozen when still fresh for longer preservation.

If you want to save time or money, frozen purees are a smart way to go.

How to use frozen fruit purees?

Cocktails

You can't beat a frozen or blended cocktail when the weather heats up. Start with a classic that you already enjoy, whether it's a margarita, a daiquiri, a whiskey sour, or a caipirinha. Consider adding different frozen purees to make the smoothies more flavourful; we provide British fruits as well as exotic ones, such as bananas, guavas, cherry fruit and blood peach puree.

Looking for more refined cocktails? Use our lychee puree and make a Lychee Bellini with our Magnum of Prosecco.

Beer-making

Homebrewers are also known to use frozen fruit puree to flavour their homebrewed beers. Unlike fresh fruit, frozen fruit does not spoil fermentation with unwanted bacteria, and will guarantee 100% fruity results.

This technique works best with lager and stout beers, but you can use any flavour you wish including strawberry puree and apple puree.

Desserts

Smooth and creamy, the texture of frozen fruit puree makes it ideal for countless desserts: gelatinized inserts, mousses, glazes, fruit pastes, macarons or even chocolate bonbons. An ingredient used in the greatest pastry chefs' kitchens, providing a different way to eating fruits.

Ice-creams

While fruit purees began as a pastry chef's speciality, they are now widely used by ice cream makers as well. The puree is nothing less than the key ingredient of sorbet.

Make your own ice creams and sorbets by processing the fruit in an ice cream maker with some milk of your choice, or just add some extra sugar and water for sorbets.

Smoothies

Boiron purees are also suitable for making smoothies. For a delicious breakfast, we have a wide variety of fruits on hand: strawberry, pineapple, kiwi, mango puree and many more.

Also available are frozen banana purees, which are a key ingredient in most smoothies, providing a cappuccino-like texture.
