Seafood platters are increasingly popular but finding the perfect presentation seafood platter ideas isn’t always easy. We have created two guides to answer your questions on how to make a seafood platter, starting with a refreshing cold seafood platter.

There are so many products out there to make a mouth-watering seafood platter recipe that will wow your guests.

Sashimi fish

First, start with some specialist sashimi fish.

With an array of delicious sashimi platters to choose from, we begin with our delicious Bluefin Tuna and Yellowfin Tuna sashimi, available in different cuts such as Otoro and Akami, which works perfectly served with a citrusy marinade and some edible flowers.

Our sashimi-grade range also includes King Salmon, Hiramasa and Sea bass. All are fantastic refreshing options and pair wonderfully with our Bluefin Tuna sashimi.

Cured and Smoked fish

Another strong favourite for a seafood platter idea is cured and smoked fish.

Our Tsar Nikolai Prime Smoked Salmon fillet is one of our bestselling products. It is lightly smoked with beech wood chippings, delivering a subtle and delicate flavour and is by far one of the finest smoked salmon you can try.

Want something different? Try our Smoked Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio or our Smoked Eel fillets.

Caviar & Other fish roes

Fancy your platter up with caviar or other fish roes

We pride ourselves on having one of the most extensive caviar selections in the UK, for all budgets, including Sevruga tasting tins as well as 000 Beluga.

If you’re not into Sturgeon caviar, we also stock the popular Salmon caviar, also known as Salmon Keta, as well as the more unusual Tobiko (flying fish roe) flavoured with wasabi, soy and yuzu.

Fish roes and caviar are always a good addition to a cold seafood platter, as they instantly add a captivating texture to the dish!

Seaweed

Seaweed is the new superfood that everyone is talking about. Seaweed is both delicious and sustainable, adding greens and fibre to any seafood platter.

Fine Food Specialist offers a wide range of seaweed, from the popular Hiyashi Wakame Seaweed salad, which you can find in most sushi restaurants to the lesser-known Sea Grapes and Dulse Seaweed.

Not sure what to choose? Take a look at our Ocean Mix Seaweed, which contains a bit of every type of seaweed we offer.

Sauces & Condiments

All great platters need their own selection of sauces and condiments, and that is also true for seafood platters!

Japanese sauces are always a good choice for fish pairing. Soy sauce is a must, and there is no doubt that it will satisfy your guests. Our personal recommendation is Namashibori, a Yuzu citrus Ponzu sauce. Top your cold seafood platter with wasabi paste and pickled ginger, which go marvellously with sashimi-grade seafood.
